Susan Currie has been a full time artist since 1998.
Her works are held in many private collections in New Zealand, Europe, North America, Japan and Australia and corporate collections in New Zealand.
She has travelled extensively overseas and this has had a major influence on her work.
Susan paints from her studio overlooking Lake Rotorua. Her work is inspired by the surrounding landscapes including the lake.
Her most recent series involves a number of pieces of work inspired by the original kiln at Barry Brickell's Driving Creek Railway Pottery at Coromandel. Most of this series has sold or is being displayed by commercial galleries in Taupo, Rotorua Ohope or Cambridge. Driving Creek No 5 featured in the book New Zealand Food Wine and Art 2005.
