Bedroom 1
A charming room with polished native wood floors ( Rimu and Matai) , double bed with feather duvet, electric blankets for when temperatures cool down and ample wardrobe space. This room was a forestry workers cottage (approximately 90 years ago) and originally included a fireplace. This bedroom also includes a clock radio, iron and ironing board and hair dryer.
Bedroom 2
A slightly smaller bedroom with a double bed, feather duvet and electric blanket. This room was also a forestry workers cottage ninety years ago. It has polished native wood flooring.
Bathroom
The bathroom was added about fifty years ago but has a comfortable feel about it. Heated Towel racks and a mounted fan heater give it a cosy atmosphere. Boutique toiletries, bath robes and quality towels add to your comfort.
The Main Living Room
The main living room was added about the same time as the bathroom and then extended at a later date. Cool in the summer and surprisingly sunny in the winter make this a pleasant room in which to eat, drink and relax. Tourist information and a variety of other light reading material are provided in this room.

Self Cater
The separate kitchen is fully equipped with full size oven, microwave, and fridge with china, cooking utensils, glassware, etc meeting most guests' requirements. Continental and cooked breakfast ingredients are provided including juice, cereal and homemade muesli, fresh and tinned fruit, yoghurt, eggs, tomatoes , bacon, baked beans, and toast and muffins. Coffee and a variety of teas are provided. The kitchen is of a similar age to the two bedrooms.
Evening Meals
Information on the extensive range of cafes and restaurants in Rotorua is provided in the cottage as well as details on take away outlets.
Dinner is also available with your hosts by arrangement. The cost is $35.00 per head (without alcohol) or $50.00 per head with wine.
Other Facilities
- Sky TV - Digital The Sky TV service is the full digital service with 50 plus channels plus a number of radio channels.
- Telephone and internet jack point access are available in our house. There are also a number of internet cafes in Rotoruas' township.
- Parking is available adjacent to the cottage.
